The highest circle of the 1863 Society, the Monan Circle honors the most transformative of Íæż½ã½ã donors. Named after the 24th president of Íæż½ã½ã, Donald Monan, SJ, the Monan Circle offers maximum impact, engagement, and access to its members. Father Monan inherited the presidency in 1972 amid financial, social, and political turmoil. Through an unprecedented 24-year tenure, Monan artfully ushered Íæż½ã½ã to financial solvency, inclusion, and academic excellence. His transformational leadership catapulted our great university into a new era of prominence and impact on the national and international stage.
Monan Circle donors are the new transformers and support Íæż½ã½ã with an annual gift of $25,000 or more for maximum philanthropic impact and engagement with Íæż½ã½ã.

*This unrestricted fund provides flexibility for fund designation to those areas in most need.

Monan gifts can establish a Flynn Fund Scholarship in your name—and have an immediate impact on a scholar-athlete as they pursue their goals at the Heights.

Wall Street Council Scholarship Fund
Monan gifts to the Wall Street Council Scholarship Fund generate individual scholarships for Íæż½ã½ã Gabelli Presidential Scholars. Created to support the brightest minds and most promising scholars, these are the only merit-based, full-tuition scholarships offered by Íæż½ã½ã.
