Letter to Parents
Dear, Parents and Guardians:Â
I am Fr. Michael Davidson, S.J., the Director of Íæż½ã½ã’s Montserrat Coalition. Montserrat Coalition is a program under the University Mission and Ministry Division, that is rooted in the Ignatian and Catholic Mission of Íæż½ã½ã. It is with great joy that I welcome your child to the Heights and to the Montserrat Community!Â
Íæż½ã½ã designated your child as a Montserrat student based on the FAFSA and income information provided by your family. The Montserrat Coalition will care for students from both Messina College and Íæż½ã½ã. The Montserrat Office aims to assist students at the highest level of financial need to actively participate in and experience a Jesuit education. The Program endeavors to mentor, guide, and support students on an individual level in the formation of academic, social, and spiritual aspects. Montserrat acts as a bridge between students and the greater Íæż½ã½ã Community. Montserrat provides the support and resources needed for our students to continue on the path of success.Â

What We Do
What does Montserrat do for your child?
The Íæż½ã½ã experience extends beyond academics and includes service, reflection, exposure, and socialization; we intend to break financial barriers so that Montserrat students have the opportunity to experience and utilize all that Íæż½ã½ã has to offer. Montserrat hopes to be a platform for students, providing answers and support where possible and specific direction in situations where aid is better provided and needs more adequately met outside of our office.
In general, our office can assist with service and retreat funding, academic-enriching funding requests, free tickets to events on and off campus, job notifications, study abroad advisement, and emergency personal/financial support.
