Profile

Noah Snyder is a geomorphologist who studies the response of rivers to changes in land-use, climate and tectonics. He is an Associate Professor in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department and Director of the Environmental Studies Program at ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã. He received his Ph.D from MIT in 2001, and conducted postdoctoral research for the US Geological Survey in northern California. Since arriving at ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã in 2004, his research has focused on rivers and associated land-management issues in New England, publishing in journals such as the Geological Society of America Bulletin, Eos, Water Resources Research, and Geomorphology.
